Registration & Cancellation Policy for Toronto Pursuits 2022
HOW TO REGISTER
You can register securely online from the Toronto Pursuits page. Full payment is due at registration.
All fees are subject to 13% Harmonized Sales Tax (HST).
We encourage you to read the seminar descriptions carefully to make sure the topic and amount of reading are a good match for you. We always happy to provide more information about a seminar or put you in contact with a seminar leader.
You can always find all readings listed on each seminar page and get details on length using book ISBNs. You are free to change your seminar before July 1, 2022, provided there is space in the seminar you want to move to and you are able to complete any preparation required. There is no cost to change seminars.
After July 1, we cannot accommodate any change in seminar. No refunds will be given should you wish to change seminars after July 1.
Payments for Toronto Pursuits can be made by credit card, or by cheque in Canadian funds. Please make cheques out to Classical Pursuits. Please contact us to register by cheque; contact details are below.
Visa and MasterCard are accepted. Verbal authorization for the use of your credit card for deposit confirms your reservation and indicates your compliance with our registration and cancellation policy for Toronto Pursuits.
CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
Cancellations by you:
If you must cancel your registration, please notify Classical Pursuits immediately by calling 647-846-3422 / 1-844-378-2869 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Deposits are nonrefundable.
If you cancel your Toronto Pursuits registration prior to June 13, 2022, you will receive a refund for 80% of your order. We will apply the remaining 20% to Toronto Pursuits in two next calendar years. Cancellations made on or after June 13 forfeit the full payment.
Cancellations by Classical Pursuits:
Classical Pursuits reserves the right to cancel Toronto Pursuits for any reason, including insufficient number of participants. If Toronto Pursuits 2022 is cancelled as a result of suspension of operations by Classical Pursuits, you will have the choice of:
- a full refund of any monies paid for Toronto Pursuits 2022 registration
- transfer of the full value of your payment to a future Toronto Pursuits program or Classical Pursuits online seminar
If you are travelling to Toronto Pursuits from outside Ontario, we strongly encourage you to purchase trip cancellation insurance that matches your level of risk tolerance. Classical Pursuits is not responsible for any incidental expenses or consequential losses that you may incur as a result of the in-person program being cancelled. This includes expenses for nonrefundable flights, rail, or other transport; hotel or other accommodations; passports, visas, vaccinations, COVID tests or any other expense related to attending Toronto Pursuits. Please read carefully all terms and conditions of any travel-related purchases before you buy.
We always encourage those travelling from outside Canada to also purchase travel health insurance. These costs are not included with your registration.
Toronto Pursuits 2022 and COVID-19:
The above policies apply to COVID-related cancellations. If Classical Pursuits cancels Toronto Pursuits 2022 because of factors related to the pandemic, full refunds will be given, including of deposits paid in calendar year 2022 for Toronto Pursuits 2022. When possible, in-person seminars will be offered online. Participants can choose to take the online seminar at a reduced rate from the in-person programming rate and receive a partial refund, or to receive a full refund.
If you as a participant cancel but Toronto Pursuits 2022 is continuing in person, our standard cancellation and refund policies apply. No refunds will be given if you decide not to travel or if you are denied entry to Canada. You are responsible for meeting all Government of Canada requirements for entering Canada and all University of Toronto policies for being on the grounds of the university.
We anticipate holding Toronto Pursuits 2022 as planned, while acknowledging that some level of unpredictability will be unavoidable for travel and in-person events in summer 2022. We suggest you make your registration decision in line with your level of comfort with this unpredictability. We will communicate with participants throughout spring and early summer 2022 to help you make your decision.
Classical Pursuits reserves the right to make decisions we determine are in the best interest of our participants, leaders and volunteers. Classical Pursuits will adhere to all University of Toronto/Victoria College and City of Toronto policies and decisions related to in-person events that are in effect at the time of the event.
- All concert tickets and optional activities tickets/fees are nonrefundable and nonexchangeable. Classical Pursuits is not responsible for any changes to the Toronto Summer Music Festival concert program.
- Unless otherwise stated, all costs associated with off-campus afternoon and evening excursions, such as transportation, museum admissions, and informal dinners, are not included in the program fee. Unless otherwise stated, these costs are nonrefundable.
STRATFORD FESTIVAL WEEKEND
We will not be holding the Stratford Festival Excursion in 2022. It will resume in 2023. If you put down a deposit and/or payment for the 2020 excursion, we will be contacting you very shortly.
Code of Conduct
Classical Pursuits reserves the right to withdraw or refuse any service to any participant. No refunds or partial refunds will be given for participants who do not complete the program because of code of conduct violations. See the full Code of Conduct here.
Limitation of Liability
All services are organized by Classical Pursuits acting as agent for the owners, contractors and suppliers providing classroom and event space.
